We prefer to keep things local. When we noticed that all the chalk on the market was imported, we almost fell off the ledge in surprise! It’s just liquid chalk right? Wrong!
When we eventually got back to the office we did some research And discovered that there is a lot more to liquid chalk than one would think. Being monkey’s by nature, we kinda like the trees and the nature around them. When we found out that most liquid chalk products contain ingredients that are harmful to the environment, we decided to explore a different recipe.
We set out on an adventure to up the liquid chalk game in South Africa and offer an eco-friendly product that will get you through your WOD, your climb or your spin around the pole better than ever before. We are always pushing to reach new heights with our product and processes to climb the ranks of awesomeness so that our clients have everything they need for the next adventure, wherever that may be.
We are working towards:
1. Recycling our liquid chalk packaging into a useful product such as a chalk bag
2. Making chalk bags out of recycled fabric
3. Continuously monitoring the development of reusable packaging and possibly implementing it for our liquid chalk products

While we are a little crazy, we are not crazy enough to damage the environment. This is why we go to extreme lengths to always find new ways to reduce our environmental impact.
We’ve danced around many formulae combinations to eventually come to grips with one that does not use Rosin, a common ingredient found in many other liquid chalk brands, unfortunately. Rosin has been known to damage the environment, especially rock sites in Europe like Fonteinebleu, which is why we decided to rather hang it by the wayside.
After hours of playing in the lab and getting in touch with our inner smarts, we finally found a recipe that works…and plays a little too! We are always upping our game and giving this thought process another rep – looking for ways to get better. We are grappling with ideas on more sustainable packaging and process. Got some ideas?
